Q. What is the "00744" phone service?

A. The "00744" phone service is an international communication service that allows you to make phone calls worldwide and within Japan at a very low price. This service can be used to call a regular phone or a cellular phone anywhere within and outside of Japan (This service can also be used for fax, and data transmission through modems connected to phone lines.) This service is only available to those customers who have agreed to pay for the service with a credit card, and who have registered their phone number that they will use for the service (regular phone or cellular phone number) to YND.

Q. Are there any other benefits to this service other than that I can call anywhere in the world and within Japan for 20 yen per minute?
A. If you are using one phone for your private calls and calls for work, you may separate your phone bills by dialing "00744" for your calls for work. Also, if you are providing cellular phones to employees at your company, using the "00744" service will make it easy to keep track of your spendings and will also help you save money.

Q. If I sign up for with YND, do I no longer need my contract with NTT or Docomo (or any other phone services?)
A. YND possesses its own phone line from a communications company that has a communication license from the Ministry of International Affairs and Communications just like NTT or Docomo, but as with KDDI or Nippon Telecom, the phone lines that go to your home phone or to your cellular phone are dependant on NTT or Docomo (or other cellular services). Therefore, even when signing up with YND, you still need the contract with NTT or Docomo etc.

Q. Can I call anywhere in the world?
A. When we say you can call "anywhere in the world," or "worldwide," we imply over 230 regions worldwide including Japan.
-For calls to regular phones within Japan, dial 00744 + area code + the number
-For calls to a cellular phone within Japan, dial 00744 + 090(or 080) + the remaining 8 digit number
-For calls outside Japan, dial 00744 + country code + area code + the number
Calls to these particular regions may not be made using the "00744" service:
Diego Garcia, Seychelles, Montserrat, Grenada, Turks and Caicos Islands, Dominica, Saint Vincent, the Grenadines, American 1-900 numbers and Hong Kong's 852-900 numbers, Macao's 853-900 numbers.
